Deze cursus van 5 weken (wekelijks op de donderdagavond) is bedoeld voor een ieder die zich wil bekwamen in het werken met ons analoge instrumentenpark. De cursist wordt wegwijs gemaakt in onze drie studios en alle features van de elektronische muziek passeren de revue, zowel theoretisch als praktisch.

In de eerste paar lessen leer je het instrumentarium van onze studios kennen en hoe alles via patchbays en mengtafels verbonden is. Het opzetten van simpele patches komt aan bod. In de volgende paar lessen gaan we steeds meer de diepte in en zoemen in op details van bepaalde apparatuur en synthesizers. Ook sounddesign en compositie komen hierbij aan bod. Tot slot is er ruimte om individueel te werken en we sluiten af met een collectieve jamsessie.

Naast onze cursussen en workshops biedt Willem Twee Studios ook educatieve programma’s voor studenten. We werken en hebben samengewerkt met onder andere: Sonology Den Haag, Fontys Conservatorium Tilburg, ArtEZ Mediamusic, Music Technology HKU en anderen. We verwelkomen altijd graag studenten, scholieren en cursisten van alle niveaus.

This 5-week course (held weekly on Thursday evenings) is intended for anyone who wants to master working with our analogue instrument collection. Participants will be introduced to our three studios, and all aspects of electronic music will be covered—both theoretical and practical.

In the first few lessons, you will get to know the equipment in our studios and learn how everything is connected through patchbays and mixing consoles. Setting up simple patches will be discussed. In the following lessons, we will dive deeper into the details of specific equipment and synthesizers. Sound design and composition will also be covered. Finally, there will be time to work individually, and we will conclude with a collective jam session.
