Bart Michiels

Bart Michiels is a Flemish composer and electronic music producer, living in Antwerp, Belgium. Michiels writes both for acoustic instruments as well as for electronics but, in essence, his music is about weaving intricate sonic landscapes that draw in the listener in a sincere way. Fueled by the desire to explore new sound possibilities, Michiels often mixes acoustic and electronic elements in his work. In addition, a central idea in his music is the fusing of idioms and forms of classical music with those of contemporary alternative and electronic music. This approach results in a highly personal and intimate soundworld.
